Hello, I’m Gabi!

I am the Primary Painters Coordinator, responsible for planning and delivering engaging, creative after-school and holiday programs. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts and have experience teaching children's art classes, as well as working as an educator and supervisor in before- and after-school care. My favourite artists include Gustav Klimt, Hilma af Klint, and Frida Kahlo. I have been drawing and painting from a very young age and am passionate about nurturing creativity in children and helping bring their ideas and imagination to life! 

Hi! My name’s Sarah. 

Sarah works mostly with the Primary Painters and School Holiday Workshops. 

I’ve loved art for as long as I remember, and after studying and practicing it for years, I’d have to say my favourite medium to work with is mixed media. I love making a piece come to life by adding dimension and texture! My favourite part about working at Wave Art is empowering the kids to create their own works. It’s exciting to see them blossom as artists, especially during those moments where things that once seemed hard to them become what they’re most confident about. 

Hellooo! I’m Ilina, 

Ilina works in Primary Painters, School Holiday Programs, Adult (Seniors) and leads Paint pARTy events. As a Personal Assistant to Ali, Ilina has a strong Love for all things Wave Art. 

 i’ve been doing art all my life, learning new techniques and developing my style. I’m very inspired by mythical sea creatures, nature and flowers as well as Egon Schiele’s self portraits. My favourite colour is ballerina pink because it feels so soft, comforting and happy. I’m also a current psychology student and my favourite part about teaching at the studio is understanding and nurturing all the students’ fun and creative thought processes and seeing their growth and progress through their art! 

Hi! l'm Eugene. 

Eugene works across all areas in Wave Art, including Kids Programs, Teens, Adults and Paint pARTies. Soon to add Therapeutic Art with meditation. 

I have a background in contemporary art and classical realism training. I enjoy working in mixed media, particularly linoprint and collage. I'm currently studying Art Therapy and am fascinated by the potential of art to help people process experiences, nurture wellbeing, and connect with themselves and others.

Hi, I’m Maia! 

Maia works with the Kids Programs, teaches  Drawing Foundations and helps with Adult and Teen classes. 

I’ve had a passion for the arts since I was young, from music to textiles to drawing. My favourite medium is tied between oil paints and graphite pencil, as I love both the detail that can be achieved with these mediums. I enjoy exploring different techniques and styles, and am always eager to learn more through others and share what I’ve learned.

Hi I'm Esther!

Art has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, which is why I’m currently studying Fine Arts and have experience teaching young students. 

I spent much of my childhood creating, and over time it naturally grew into a passion I wanted to share with others as a way to connect with people and share love.

I honestly LOVE all mediums and artistic styles, but if I had to choose a favourite, it would be painting, particularly oil painting!

I truly hope everyone gets to embrace and cherish a love for art because I believe creativity is something everyone can enjoy!!

Our studio wouldn’t be complete without the team in the background, our School Holiday workers (seasonal) and pARTy assistants, and casual workers who help out from time to time.
